Power of the Spoken Word
The first law of manifestation is limitation. To understand this concept better, we must realize that everything comes from Spirit, which is a plane of all-possibility. We can physically manifest anything from this plane of all-possibility, but in order to do so, we must first limit it in some fashion. And sound plays a role in this limitation, particularly the spoken word. As such, sound is a bridge between the seen and the unseen.
What brought about creation
according to the Bible? The answer is sound. Whether you want to call it the
Big Bang, the Om, or the Spoken Word of God makes no difference. It all started
with sound. Contemplate Genesis 1:1-3 which reads:
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light."
Given the foregoing, you can see why it is so important to choose your words carefully. What you say is helping to shape the environment around you. Are you creating a positive or a negative environment with your words?
For the next several weeks, pay close attention to everything you say. Watch how your words affect yourself, others, and your surroundings. In addition to paying attention to everything you say, choose a positive affirmation. Say it when anything negative enters your mind. Say it with one-pointed concentration and put your whole heart into the affirmation. This will create a cycle of positive energy that will transform your life for the better.
