Rev. Tara will lead today\'s Service.  Since this is the first Sunday of the month, we will have Billet Readings instead of a formal discourse.  For those who have not participated in Billet Readings before, here is what is done: First, the members of the congregation write something on a small piece of paper (i.e., a billet).  This can be a question, a symbol, or a comment -- basically whatever the person wants to write on the piece of paper.  The writer does not include their name, or personal identifying information, on the billet.  Second, the billet is placed into a basket.  Third, Rev. Tara takes the basket and removes a billet so that she can perform a mini reading for the writer of that billet.  The mini reading usually lasts 1 - 5 minutes, and it provides insight in the writer\'s life circumstances and the cause(s) of those circumstances.  The mini readings are general in nature, and do not go into specific, personal detail.  Since the readings are general in nature, all members of the congregation can get something from each reading even if they were not the author of the billet.  Fourth, at the end of each mini reading, Rev. Tara asks who wrote the information on the billet, and gives the billet to that person.

This week we are trying out a new webcam that we recently purchased.  It should provide better visual and audio quality for those of you who are participating in the Church Services via live web casting.

Finally, we raised just over $2,000 during our Grant Match.  This means that the anonymous donors in Texas will contribute an additional $2,000 to the Church, for a grand total of just over $4,000.  Thank you to everyone for your generosity!!!
